Life started on the big island of Hawaii (the years of happy oblivion). What do I remember? Not much, except warm rain, the mongoose that loved our garbage can, 711 slurpies after a day at the beach and the smell of white ginger leis. Then I turned six in Vermont, having been plopped clear across the country where I was forced to wear pink, poofy, restrictive snowpants. What do I remember? Snow, maple surop, fire flies and people in colonial costumes. My next birthday was in Healdsburg, California. My parents separated and we moved to Santa Rosa until junior high, when I moved to Forestville ( happy years..blistful, but not oblivious). Blah blah, highschool, great times, amazing friends and teachers, dance, french, theatre yadah yadah. College in slugland...man, inspiring as hell. Sophomore year, where I'm pretty sure I lost touch with most of who I am, but still not sure. I became rather displaced by a series of challenging events in my life, including my mother moving out of Forestville to Eureka. No more home. Hello adulthood, from now on, I make my own home. I'm off to a great start though. I lived with my charming boyfriend Nate for the summer in LA. Put that relationship on pause, and headed off for Toulouse, France for the year. I have fallen madly in love with this city, and am having the time of my life. And here we are, up to date!
